Fun at the playground!

One of the big perks of our house is living so close to the new elementary school - we took the kids to the school playground this afternoon and they had a great time!

Happy 7th birthday!

Hayley's birthday is on the 17th, so yesterday we had her party...she had a joint party with our neighbors boys who also have birthdays within a few days of hers. A good time was had by all!

It's already February!

Time has been flying by! I know I have been slacking on updating - woops! Everything is going well in the Bearden household - Hayley's midway through first grade and has been doing a TON of homework and has also started taking gymnastics, Garrett is starting to get really bored in his preschool class, William is talking our ears off and loves to play with his car table, and Teaghan is still a sweet heart, and is a walker now! Gabriel still loves his school, and is starting track season now. I've been looking into possibly going back to work in the fall if the perfect job comes along...who knows!

We just replaced our carpet in the last two weeks and are LOVING our new floor! So easy to take care of, and it looks good, too! It's been fun making our house more of a home for us. We have a few more things we'd like to get done over the next few months, so I'm excited about that. Hayley's 7th birthday is on the 17th and she's having a big party at a gymnastics place on Valentine's Day. I still can't believe my Hayley bug is almost 7! WoW!!!







On Superbowl Sunday we had 18 adults and 19 kids over - here's a shot of everyone watching the 3d commercial!

Christmas Fun!

Sunday night Gabriel's brother, wife, and kiddos drove in from South Dakota. They were able to spend the night with us on their way in to Houston - the kids had so much fun! Trish and I had to laugh - we both bought the kids all matching pjs. Here are a few of them in their jammies from their cousins!


We are so excited to meet baby cousin #5 - they are due in February with their 3rd. I got out Teaghan's bumbo seat to let them try out with the new baby girl, and Teaghan crawled right up in to it and said "Cheese!" These were the best picts of her I've gotten in a LONG time...she's actually still and looking at the camera!

Tuesday we drove out to Mineola to see my grandparents. I had asked my grandmother if she would be able to paint letters for the girl's rooms, and she went wayyy above and beyond and did some GORGEOUS work! I am so excited about them and can't wait to get them hung. She even surprised the boys with their names, too! It was nice to be able to spend some time with them and enjoy some yummy food...so wonderful that we're so close to them now!

Been a long time!

I can't believe I haven't updated this thing in so long! Life has gotten hectic with birthday parties, Thanksgiving, and drs. appointments. I guess the appointments go along with the birthdays...today was Williams 3 year well visit and it went well. Tall and skinny stubborn kid! He refuses to potty train, which has been a big source of frustration. Our new pediatrican made me feel a lot better - he told me to stop talking about potty training for a few weeks and try again next month. He also said not to tell anyone he's not potty trained yet, because he knows it's hard to take the comments everyone seems to want to give. He is SO right! I'm tired of the "my child was fully trained at 18 months old..." good for them and lucky you - my son refuses to sit on the potty and he's 3! Oh well. I know it'll come when he's ready.

Now I'm planning Garrett's superhero 5th birthday party. Should be fun!! Just gearing up for Christmas has been exciting...such a fun and crazy time!

The Wiggles Lover...

This cracks me up! I turned the camera on at the same time I turned on the Wiggles - Teaghan automatically started dancing! She's definitely a Wiggles fan. Mom, book your trip now for the Wiggles Live show next summer... :-)
