We were on our way to dinner with my Grandmother tonight and out of the blue Garrett says "I can say the pledge" and he spouts off the pledge to the American flag, pledge to the Christian flag, and pledge to the Bible. Soooo impressive to me! So tonight he wanted to read his Bible in bed and was telling me about "and they said 'hosanna'" and held his bible up and started to say the pledge to the Bible. Of course mommy had to grab the camera! I chopped it so it'd upload quicker...before each pledge he says "Ready, Salute." What an amazing school our amazing little Garrett is so blessed to attend.

He is RISEN!
"He is not here. He is risen, just like He said!"
He left out the word "just" but it is still precious. :)
*edited to add that it wasn't "just" that he left out, but "as". Woops!*

Easter bunny and Cowgirl #2!
Last night Gabriel and I decided we were feeling brave, so we took the kids to get their pictures taken with the Easter bunny. Hayley and Garrett will be spending this Easter with Tommy again, so we had to do it early, as they are leaving today and won't be back until Easter night. The kids were running in circles while we were waiting in line, and he fell and busted his lip a little. Just a little blood! ;-) He wasn't too sure of the Easter bunny, but we did talk him into standing by his feet.
And here's Teaghan today...playing cowgirl! :)

She loved playing with the skirt:

Truly amazing!

Teaghan has found her hand. She has been waving at herself (which is too adorable) and is just sooo intrigued with her hand and fingers. I don't remember ever really paying attention to when the other 3 did this, but I think it's just amazing to watch her discover the world around her (and attached to her!). What a huge blessing to be able to witness the growth of a human! Wow.
So, of course I had to take pictures and a short video. I just think it's so precious to see her discover things! (and yes, that precious little hand of hers scratched her face in two different places on Friday)

Here we go again...
The weather has been wacky - 70 one day, 40 the next...and now Teaghan's got a 101.1 fever. It's never ending!! I'm guessing she needs her ears rechecked again.
On the happy side, we got a wonderful note from Garrett's teacher today. She said Garrett brought tears to her eyes at nap time - he asked if he could pray before they laid down. She let him lead the prayer, and he got down next to his cot and thanked God for his friends and his school where he has fun. What a JOY!! He leads the nightly dinner prayer with the kids and even has Will singing "Oh, the Lord's been good to me..." we could not be more proud to see our children growing up in this Christian home.

The Chicken Dance
What a classic! Will got really upset when they "traveled"...she ended up at the other side of the gym where we couldn't see her. I was SHOCKED at how many parents there were for these 10 minutes of singing...the parking lot and the street were full of Kinder parents cars. She was so happy to see us, and actually cried when we left!

My little helper
I have been cleaning house this morning and as I was vaccuming, I turned around and saw this:
That's the mop in his hand! What a big helper...the glasses, crocs, Teaghan's pacifier and pink backpack make it even more hilarious!! I emailed the picture to Gabriel at work - he wanted to know if I shined a beacon in the sky to get Super Cleaner to come help me!

Our weekend
We had a great time this weekend! Gabriel was gone for about 5 hours on Saturday, so Teaghan and I got to hang out with friends. It was too fun! Before we hit the mall, we had a fun photo session....

Jenny and Brooke came to pick us up (Gabriel had the car) and we met up with Ashlee and Amelia. FUN!! Can't wait to hopefully live closer.

After an afternoon of shopping, we met up with Gabriel and John and went to Big Bucks for dinner. About half way through dinner, Teaghan got VERY upset - she was definitely overtired. This started around 5:30...she didn't sleep again until about 10:30 or 11 that night! Poor baby was exhausted. Too much excitement!
Yesterday was spent driving around Mckinney and Allen...we're sold!! It's going to be a long month of waiting.
