New pjs!

Gymboree was having a sale on the pj's last week, and since pjs are the one thing that all the kids always need, I decided to get everyone a pair. Of course they had to match! The boys absolutely LOVE their new "doggie jammies" and from the second they put them on after bath they ran around together saying they were "buddies". Later it turned into being twins, but for most of the night they'd come down together telling us that they were buddies. Soooo cute! Ashlee made Teaghan a bow to match her pjs - cousin Emery's 3rd birthday party is next weekend and it's a pj party so she'll be decked out in her new gymmies. (yes, I am a gymboree addict who loves their sales!)

Where's my baby going?

Ack! Teaghan looks SO grown up to me today - almost like she's getting ready to celebrate her first birthday! Wow!!



Fun with a plastic cup. She won't stay still for pictures now that she's crawling everywhere...and when she gets excited I can't get a picture of her eyes open! They get so squinty. So precious! And based on these top teeth, we have decided that she's going to follow in her mom's path as far as braces go. They are soo far apart!

Ok, so obviously with a family of 6, 4 of them being fast growing children, 3 of who haven't really experienced a winter, we have lots of wardrobes to buy. As the weather was cooler this past week I started thinking about the fact that Hayley, Garrett, and William had practically no long sleeve clothes! So after we went to get our vacuum fixed (hooray Kirby store for fixing our plug for cheap!) I ran into a resale store in Sasche - just to see if they had anything. HA! 3 pairs of jeans and about 6 shirts and a coat later, I forced myself to stop looking. All of that for under what 3 pairs of jeans would cost new. Hooray!

And this morning I went out to the garage to look for handmedowns for Teaghan. Shhhh, don't tell her they are Hayley's old things - there is quite a bit of vintage gymboree (2001-2002 lines) that are SO CUTE! I am so excited - they are all between sizes 12 and 18 months. Hooray!! She will need very little this winter.

So, just some excitement over some good finds this weekend. And believe me, I will be up at the resale place later this week selling some of our bulky baby items.

UT football!

We headed down to our friends Marc and Rachel's to watch the first game of the season. Of course we all had to dress in our burnt orange:



And Teaghan was so excited for the first game! (and yes, she does have a side pony going on!)








The kids had a great first week of school. Mommy's having more issues adjusting - Gabriel put in 81 hours at work last week with football. He's having a blast with high school football, though, so that's good news. It's quite an adjustment to having him home all summer and suddenly he lives at school and on the football field! Hooray for only a 10 week season!!

I cannot get over how grown up my Hayley bug looks in these pictures! She had to get up really early this morning, which I thought might be a problem, but she jumped right out of bed and was so excited to get to school!





Garrett started preschool last week and loves it, too! He is doing really well in his new class.
